Equip 2017 Study Conference

Transforming Discipleship – Equip 2017 Study Conference. Five hundred years ago, the Anabaptists determined four ways through which they could discern the will of God: Scripture, the life of Christ, the voice of the Holy Spirit who resides in each believer, and the discerning community of faith. The Board of Faith and Life invites you to the biennial study conference where the MB community comes together to interpret scripture, to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit, to be encouraged and equipped for the work of faith in the twenty first century Canada.

Gathering 2016 is the Canadian Conference’s biennial national convention. Mennonite Brethren from across Canada gather for worship, fellowship and the annual general meeting.

Provincial Events

Each province has an annual general meeting and a Pastor and Spouse retreat. View the upcoming events on our Provincial Events page or to see more events visit the Provincial Conference websites.

PCO is a pastoral-equipping and orientation event, led by MB Biblical Seminary faculty and CCMBC staff. It is for those who are new to ministry within the MB conference and for others who are seeking a refresher on MB history, theology and resources. Those who attend and complete the requirements are eligible for pastor’s credentialing through their respective provincial conferences.

God, Sex and Church: a theology of healthy sexuality Held biennially and hosted by the Board of Faith and Life,  at Study Conferences we interpret scripture and choose a direction together. Five hundred years ago, the Anabaptists determined four ways through which they could discern the will of God: Scripture, the life of Christ, the voice of the Holy Spirit who resides in each believer, and the discerning community of faith. We believe the community of faith working together, guided by the Holy Spirit and the Bible, forms a community hermeneutic (study and interpretation of the Bible).
